How to Create a Strong ‘About Us’ for Your Law Firm (Part 1), the following includes some additional tips on what kind of information to include on a law firm’s About Us page in order to make it as effective as possible. Creating a strong About Us page for your law firm can make the difference between whether potential new clients contact you for further information or for an initial consult.

In addition to including information about your law firm’s experience and background, also include information regarding:

  • Staff size – Point out whether your law firm is a small or large firm and the associated benefits of working with a law firm of that size. For example, if the firm is small, you can play up aspects like having a family-oriented atmosphere that helps streamline the litigation process or providing personal attention to every client that comes through the firm’s doors. Alternately, if the firm is larger, you can highlight benefits like having the right lawyers and staff to handle a wide variety of legal needs or having access to a number of legal resources that can help resolve cases as efficiently as possible.
  • What your lawyers and staff do – While this should include details about the specific practice areas that your law firm covers, it should also highlight some specific services that your lawyers and staff provide to each of your clients. Some specific services that can be important to point out include offering free initial consults, meeting clients in the hospital or in jail, regularly contacting clients with case updates and aggressively representing clients both inside and outside of the court room. It can also be a good idea to point out other support staff that may be crucial to helping resolve cases, like private investigators, forensic experts, etc.
